The Beginning

 Olemme helsinkiläinen perhe; 2 aikuista,  2 lasta ja koira. Tämä blogi on äidin ja tyttären päiväkirja, jossa vaalitaan mm. arvokasta merellä vietettyä aikaa, joka tasapainottaa kiireistä kaupunkiarkea. Saaristossa nautiskellaan perheestä ja ystävistä, talon rakentamisesta ja sisustamisesta, piha- ja puutarhatöistä, hyvän ruuan laitosta ja itsestä huolehtimisesta. Tuntuu, että pieni pala sydämestä jää saaristoon joka kerta kun veneestä noustaan mantereelle. Siksi päätimmekin aloittaa tämän blogin, johon keräämme muistoja, ajatuksia, kuvia ja unelmia. Jos eksyt blogiimme ja jaat kanssamme rakkauden merelliseen elämään - toivotamme sinut tervetulleeksi!

We are a family of 2 children, 2 parents and a dog. This is a blog of Mom and Daughter cherishing our precious time by the sea. We think that there is something very special about the sea and the water front. We get the needed balance to our hectic city life by staying in our Blue Island House whenever possible.  It is the place where we enjoy the best parts of life: the family and friends, designing, building and decorating the house and the garden, cooking good food and taking care of ourselves. We leave a piece of our hearts to the island every time we get out of the boat in the mainland. That´s why we decided to start this blog. When we are away;  we collect the moments, thoughts, pictures and dreams here like to a dear diary. If you share the love for staying by the sea – we wish you welcome to our dream!
